Kathleen is a contemporary abstract artist working in watercolor, acrylic and mixed media. Her work is inspired by nature and expresses organic subjects inviting the viewer to see and be aware of the beauty around them. The work is based on unique texture techniques to describe the varied earth forms that are all around us.
Her art is created to help the viewer see and be aware of the electrifying beauty of nature but still create mystery.
She paints commissioned portraits of dogs and cats of all breeds.

This workshop will focus on creating various types of texture on paper, canvas or board using acrylic and acrylic inks. You may use watercolor if you wish. Design and Composition will be explored as part of the process. From these texture starts, abstract or more realistic paintings will be developed. You will learn how to incorporate the new techniques into your own painting style.
I will be teaching watercolor at Camp de Benneville Pines, Angelus Oaks, Ca. The The camp is high in the San Bernardino National Forest, away from the summer heat!
The fees include board, room, art instruction, and other varied activities. You will be with your instructor of choice each morning for in depth study and each afternoon you will have the opportunity to get involved in the mediums of the other instructors. It is a wonderful emersion in art and lots of fun.
Cost is: $850 with discount for early enrollment, which ends June 30.
